Justin's Journey

I have dedicated my life to knowledge and self improvement in order to get me to this point. When in high school, I started as a floor trainer helping with general exercises and spotting. Soon I was a personal trainer with little to no experience; other than being a High School/Collegiate Athlete with rudimentary training in exercise, all I had was a paper certificate saying I was a trainer after an opened book test. While in college, I ran with Boston University’s Division I Track and Field and picked the mind of my strength and conditioning coach. Did this qualify me as an expert? No.

While specializing in pre-physical therapy courses, I took it upon myself to take the courses that would make me a better trainer and future physical therapist. I studied for the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer Exam and passed while continuing my rigorous schedule of sports, school, and work. Did this now qualify me as the expert? No.

After undergraduate studies, I began my Masters of Science Physical Therapy program. I worked at getting the esteemed National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist “CSCS” and passed on the first try. With an already intensive schedule, I still managed to train about 20 hours a week, in order to apply all that I learned in class. I made Dean’s list in a top graduate program multiple times and passed my Physical Therapy board examination on the first try and let’s say I didn’t just barely pass.
Does this qualify me as an expert? Heck No!

Currently, I hold three active licenses as a practicing physical therapist in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I have taken multiple jobs from some of the very best in the area in Therapy and Chiropractics and Medical Doctors. I decided I wasn’t done with school yet. Therefore, I enrolled in a doctorate of physical therapy program at Marymount University. Will this finally qualify me as an expert? My Answer is No and will always be No.

Why go through all this? Because with more knowledge, there is more power and more responsibility. There is a moral duty for me to give all of you the correct and most up-to-date information. I chose a doctoring profession to keep the public safe and offer you a more credible source.

I refuse to be complacent. I have kept myself “busy” because I have adopted the “Beginner’s Mind” concept my whole life. I have driven myself to be better and better, not accepting the what-I-know-is-the-final answer. To this day, I still do not feel I have fully grasped everything. I am dedicated and plan on pursuing lifelong education in my professions. Wouldn’t you want to trust someone like this? I have behaved this way because I know that if someone were to take care of my parents and my loved ones, I would want the very best or someone who is moving in that direction. This is what I offer you.

This is how we all should approach, and I’m not just talking about fitness/rehabilitation either but in your life. I highly recommend the pursuit of excellence by continuing to educate yourself about your mind, body, and soul.
The exercises I give now do not compare to the exercises I used to give. And the exercises I will give later may change due to research and fine-tuning. This is a very dynamic field and it will always be changing.

My hope is that you all will become wiser consumers and will see that my products are the safer, more cost-effective and time/user-friendly alternative. You are all people “in-the-know” and “on-the-go,” so I’ve been able to formulate with hundreds of patients over and over the best method to get the results they need without compromising what they want. I believe I will show you that method!

Ok I’m off of my soapbox. All the best in your journey,
Justin
