Calf stretch
- Stand at the edge of a step, facing towards the steps.
- You should have the front part of your feet on the step, with your heels off the edge of the step.
- Keep your knee straightened initially (gastroc stretch) and let your heel depress over the ledge.
- This stretch will stretch one of the two muscles of your calf.
- Then try the same stretch with your knees bent (soleus stretch).
Hold for 30 seconds. Perform this exercise a couple of times a day.
